I do like your straight setting better--but isn't is fun to try things out in EQ5 before you decide on the final plan? How about repeating the cobblestones in the border--lots of white, broken up by the little colored squares? it will kind of carry through the sashing..Passionate Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15280625610653416523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24621229.post-1153692323694118022006-07-23T17:05:00.000-05:002006-07-23T17:05:00.000-05:00It is wonderful... and I like it "straight" better...It is wonderful... and I like it "straight" better than on point. I still have never made one, but someday, I hope..*S*

I think the on point is interesting, but like the straight set better. I don't think all the white triangle side blocks would enthuse me..LOL
Great job!! Oh,almost forgot. The weird seeming names on the children's book I mentioned on Saturday?? The books were writen and I think published in a Scandinavian country. Not sure if it was Sweden or Finland. Jeanne at Spiral has hers from childhood, maybe when the remodel is over, she'd check. They are very odd name, and were to me as a child also.Finnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17677133672404343036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24621229.post-1153682155077972282006-07-23T14:15:00.000-05:002006-07-23T14:15:00.000-05:00I like both sets, and I love Sisters' Choice, so I...I like both sets, and I love Sisters' Choice, so I like the blocks with sashing, too.

If you want to use the HSTs, but not the traditional sawtooth, I have two suggestions. One is to alternate directions - that gives more of a sideways flying geese kind of look - sort of. The other is what I'm doing with some of mine. Look back at my blog at teh 7-16 archive week. On 7-19, I posted my border that has no quilt yet. It's made from my bonus HSTs.

Of course, you could alwasy make broken dishes or pinwheels blocks out of them and line them down the quilt, but I'm not sure how that would look - don't know what size yours are, either.Susan https://www.blogger.com/profile/09159163720029661287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24621229.post-1153669781424324372006-07-23T10:49:00.000-05:002006-07-23T10:49:00.000-05:00Very pretty, I like the straight set best too.Very pretty, I like the straight set best too.Mary Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07801947879882584734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24621229.post-1153668398635398742006-07-23T10:26:00.000-05:002006-07-23T10:26:00.000-05:00AWESOME...love the 9P's in the center of the stars...AWESOME...love the 9P's in the center of the stars.
