Spinning Pinwheels

Anyone remember this one? I started it way back in November, doing the center tesselated pinwheels at a retreat. Then I added the outer row of pinwheels a few months later, and just a month ago, the border of squares left over when I tesselated the center pinwheels:

Now I'm trying to decide if I want the last border/binding to be purple/blue or blue/purple. The purple and blue fabric is the same pattern, just different colorway. I have enough to do either a binding or a border of each, but I can't do them the same color. Which would YOU do?

I love how bright and Happy this is. I love purpel, but I think maybe the blue and then the purple for the binding. I get all traditional and see the darker (purple) as the binding/frame of the quilt.

Oh it is gorgeous!!! I think I misunderstood what you were asking, so I won't give my answer. I know what you pick will be just right for you and for this cheerful quilt.

I'm with Gail and say blue border, then purple binding! But either would look great!

What a beauty! The colors just dance across the quilt. I think either would be fine, but I might try the purple to draw out that purple in the center.

Personally, I wouldn't add another border. I'd bind in either the blue or the purple (purple if you pushed me to make a decision!!). You always make great quilts, so I look forward to seeing what you decide :)

I vote for the purple, then the blue. But I know whatever you do it will be good. Your bright colors are very cheerful and happy colors.

This looks great - have you already made your decision? I think I would just bind it at this point too. I like ending with the pieced border.

Those are great pinwheels! I'd either just go ahead and bind it in blue or add another border of blue and bind in blue. I really love the colours!
