Red Borders

Well, ok, it's growing on me. The flash is making the red brighter, it's not nearly so loud in person. I made two more of these stretchy blocks so I could make a 2x3 center for this lap quilt. Then added a red border:

Now I'll do a 4 patch or 9-patch kinda border, whatever fits better, using more of the plaids and blue, but no red... and a couple more borders and I'll be done with the top. I think. lol

The quilt looks great! And your guild looks like a lot of fun - checked out the webpages.

The red is the ticket. I love it. I can see spools of thread.

I think more plaids and no more red will be the way to go-it will calm it down just enough that you'll wind up loving it.

Great looking quilt. You are right about the red. More blue and it will balance out nicely.

yup, the red was a great choice to tie it all together...

Oh it looks so great! And you know what - I can see the spools pop out with the red ones! Very fun!

Oh, yes! I love the way this looks! This is going to really cheer up someone. Make them look "sassy," as an old soldier said.

I do like it better this way...and it's quite amazing how the spools come and go. Very nice colors for this pattern I think!
