I'm an Autumn

Got the link for this from Finn's blog, guess I'm an Autumn too. :)

You Belong in Fall

Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times...
You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings
Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you

I think I've decided to try prairie points on the border for this little leaf quilt... it'll add color to the edge without adding much size. And since it's going to be a wall hanging, it'll let me try the points without committing myself to a whole bed size quilt worth of them. :D

Actually, I'm not sure what to do with the points at the corners, but I guess I can do a search online and find some instructions.

I've never tried prairie points, but would like to. If you find something good, please share!

Oh fun! I like the idea of prairie points! I've never done them either so can't help you with any suggestions, but I can't wait to see them on there!

Hi Jane, I see you are managing to stay busy...LOL. I really do love autumn...wish I knew to make at picture appear when I click on those links, but I don't.

If you have trouble with the PP give a hollar. Usually you just start the first one with the triangle poing even with the top/side edge. The second one gets one of it's points tucked inside the first PP, and so on. I say pin the first and last ones in place on a side and adjust the about of "tuck" as you need to. You can end up with lots and lots of them by doing a deep tuck, or really space them out to almost no tuck.
And then in the second way of making them, both pointy tucks meet in the back of the PP...and that is kind of cool too. I'm sure it's coverded online. Maybe even in the EQ5? Hugs, Finn
