Well, here's the strip twist quilt, with borders! Since the quilt has no pinks, and not many pastels, except a couple of yellows and a blue, I decided this was going to eventually be for a brother or nephew. I picked a darkish olive green tone, with little teeny stars, to border it with. This was one of the fabrics I got from the Hancock's going out of business sale on Friday. It was nice to have a choice of several border fabrics to choose from!
I thought at first glance that there was some kind of weird fade pattern to the fabric, till I looked harder and saw that it was the strong backlight from the setting sun that put the vertical stripes on the border... lol
Libby puts her shed-of-approval on it too. :)

shed of approval from Libby--cute!
The borders made the quilt, Jane--good job.
This quilt turned out really nice. I am going to have to try one of these after I finish my sisters quilt.
I'm doing this pattern in Christmas fabrics....Actually I'm making one along wtih my Mom and sister. We gathered the fabrics and then shared. I love the way you did the borders. I may need to copy them!!! Great job.
I love it. It came out beautiful.
very nice- love the borders - it just makes the quilt!
Well done! Boy you are quick! I love this quilt. I hope the lucky recipient likes it as much as we do!!
MEOW! Lovely quilt & kitty!
Wowzer, that quilt is turning out GREAT! Love it. And kitty looks great too. Aren't cats just so helpful?!
Hi Jane, love the borders..*VBS* I think that pieced border in there really adds alot of interest.
Great job on putting some of those new fabrics to work right away!! That's the way to go!!
Libby looks so satified with have the top to lay on...LOL
I really like the pieced border, too!
Jeanne :)
I love your stripped twist quilt! And the color of your border is awesome! But then those more muted/muddy greens are my favorite! The pieced border is a great addition also! OK - back to cathcing up!
Love the quilt! I think the border color is perfect. Thanks for visiting my blog. To answer your question about the block: Yes, they hand out the pattern and we had to use yellow centers, spring flowers colors, and a brown-ish basket. That way they all look generally the same.
Looks terrific. And that is a very traditional way to make pieced borders fit. It's never evident unless one gets out a tape measure - and no one should be doing that!
