I think what Toby's really thinking is not, MY quilt... but... is she going to make me get down just when I've found a soft place to nap?
and 'Maybe if I don't look at her, she won't see me and make me move.'
People always say cats don't show much expression, but I'm always attributing feelings and words to my two. :D

seems like toby is asserting ownership for sure!
Re your comment on my blog re lawn bowling... its a game you play with a group of balls, 7 two teams. the balls have a weight on one side so don't roll perfectly evenly. A small marker ball gets tossed out then teams "bowl" their balls down the lawn to see who gets closest. You count a point for the team with the ball closest to the marker (and a point for each of their balls that is closer than any of their opponenets' balls).
I agree with you--cats DO show expression! I just have to look at mine to know that.
Toby has the most beautiful blue eyes - and a very determined expression.
I cannot understand why all my clothes are full of threads and cathair......SMILE. Love your quilting cat. Cats DO have a lot of expressions. I am always talking to my cat and she answers me back. I can tell when she is happy and smiling and when she is sad.

We had a cat many years ago, and he could give you a look that would make you think twice about crossing him.
I do like that quilt. Every time I look I like it better.
CUTE! CUTE! CUTE! (I am exactly the same, but my cats support me 100%) LOVE the blue eyes! I need a big kitty hug....
Doesn't toby have such gorgeous blue eyes! And I agree ... very good taste in resting places!
*hugs*
